Gresik Industrial Estate JIIPE carried out three stages of development which were in line with the high demand for Gresik Industrial Estate land in the Manyar region. In the initial stage, around 700 hectares of JIIPE Gresik industrial area were developed for infrastructure development such as docks, roads and water supply, electricity related to water supply, gas, and waste treatment. And only the initial work on the infrastructure of the JIIPE Gresik Industrial Estate, there have been a number of companies ordering places to be used as warehousing and industrial development at that time. Such as CPO, Automotive, and others.
The second and third phase of physical construction is the construction of a new port on an area of 300 hectares located in front of JIIPE Industrial Gresik. This port can be a facility for companies to transport logistics of capital goods to export needs.
With this port in JIIPE's Gresik Industrial Estate, it could be a solution to overcome the high level of loading and unloading currents at the Tanjung Perak port and the Teluk Lamong Terminal. The existence of the JIIPE Industrial Zone Harbor can also reduce logistics costs from upstream to downstream.
Furthermore, in the next stage, GEM City settlement area was built to complement JIIPE Gresik on a 500 hectare land. The construction of these settlements is in line with the development of industrial estates in Gresik JIIPE which requires shelter for port workers and industrial estates. This development is in collaboration with PT AKR Land, whose land is separated from industrial estate and port projects.
